Friends are the Sisters we choose for Ourselves

Hey Crafty friends!
Today I am sharing a card I created by mixing up several of the NEW Fun Fall stamp sets
now available in the HoneyBeeStamps shop

My favorite stamp set from this release is the Acorn Sisters stamp set.
I have several wonderful sweet friends that I consider Sisters.
It's that special relationship that we share that inspired this card.

I really wanted four sisters for this card so I stamped and fussy cut the forth sister
from the Seasonal Sweeties stamp set

I stamped these images using Archival Ink color: Tree Branch.
I like using the Archival inks from Ranger as they do not bleed when using watercolors

I attached my sisters together and then I colored them using a watercolor
technique with Distress inks

I also created the background of my card using Distress Inks. I just smooshed the colors around on a piece of Copic Marker paper.  I was trying to create a background of fall trees with a bit of sky and ground to frame out my Sisters.

I created my title by using the Gather Together and Acorn Sister stamp sets

Here is a closer look at my water colored sisters.

I hope my card has inspired you to get some fall cards made for your Sister Friends.

Until next time,
Happy Scrappin'

Stick with me PL layout

Good morning crafty friends! It's Carrie here!

Today I am sharing a recent Project life, pocket page layout with you. As summer comes to an end I find myself with lots of date night photos, or I should say selfies... lol.  I wanted to create a layout for some of those pictures ( once I get them printed, that's always the struggle, right?! )

I created this layout using one of my favorite Honey Bee Stamp sets,  Stick with Me
These sweet little cactus and succulent plants are fun to color.  I used some Prima water color pencils
to color in my stamped images.  I then used the matching steel honey cut Stick with Me dies
to cut out all my colored pieces.

I created little planter scenes by layering my cut images some are attached with 3D foam for dimension.

I added some sentiments from the Prickly Sentiments set
and used some wood grain Alpha stickers, by Simple Stories  for titles.

Now my layout is complete and ready for photos.  I better head on over to the Snapfish app and get those pictures printed.

Until next time!
Happy Scrappin'
